I am an Integrative Counsellor and Registered Member of the BACP.
I began my foundation course in Transpersonal Therapy at CCPE. During this period I realised that for me one type of therapy did not fit everyone's needs and so I moved into Integrative Therapy in order to learn as many disciplines as possible. I studied at CPPD and obtained my Diploma and Advanced Diploma in this field.
I have worked in the bereavement sector with Cruse Bereavement Lambeth and St. Christopher's Hospice in South London. I also had a placement with The Awareness Centre within the NHS seeing clients with many different issues.
I believe that a large part of the therapy work is due to the relationship between client and therapist and the first session gives us a chance to see if I am the right person for you. This session can be a little longer than normal sessions which are always 50 minutes.
Please get in touch with your requirements via phone, text or email and I will respond as soon as possible.
Services I Offer
Face to Face Therapy
Many people like physically coming to therapy sessions and talking in person to their therapist. I offer sessions like this on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in Berwick-upon-Tweed.
Not everyone is able to physically get to therapy whether this is due to work commitments, distances or difficulties leaving their home. This is why I offer Skype sessions in which a client can still 'meet' me online and have access to counselling. Even though some people find this a strange concept it does work very effectively.
For people who are in areas of poor internet connection or indeed who may not be internet/technology minded I offer telephone Counselling. Again this is very useful for people who cannot easily travel and is still an effective was to access therapy. It can seem strange not to meet a Counsellor in person or see them across a screen but it still provides a safe and supportive space in which to talk.

"I came to Tabitha having gotten stuck in my grieving process and feeling helpless about how to move forward. After a series of sessions I feel I've moved past some of the issues that were holding be back and have learnt new skills and coping mechanisms to help me with my grief in the future. Tabitha approached our sessions as a collaborative exercise, working with aspects of my personality to help me come to terms with my grief in a way that felt comfortable for me".
