About Me

I am an Integrative Psychotherapist, Couples Counsellor and EMDR Therapist.

I am an Accredited Member of the BACP. and Member of EMDR Association.

Integrative means that I have many different tools at my disposal because I feel that no two people are the same and therefore I can adapt my methods to suit accordingly.

I believe that therapy is relational and therefore it is very important that my clients all feel safe, comfortable and not judged by me. This is why I usually talk to all my clients before booking in the first session to make sure I am able to help and also allow the client to gain a sense of me.

The assessment session is a chance for you to see if we will work well together, after which I always suggest having a think and getting back to me to book any further sessions.

I am now working online, but can also do face to face from my space in Kenton NE3. Individual sessions and EMDR are 50 minutes and cost £80, couples sessions are £140.

I currently have my private practise which I opened in 2018 and I am also working with the NHS through Xyla Digital Therapies, the charity Lancashire Women as an EMDR Therapist and with Problem Shared which specialises in neuro-diversity.

Previously I worked in the bereavement sector with Cruse Bereavement Lambeth, St. Christopher's Hospice in South London and The Awareness Centre within the NHS.

Services I Offer

I work online via Skype, Zoom, WhatsApp Video and Teams.

Since the Pandemic the online sector has revolutionised counselling enabling people with work commitments, young children or disabilities to be able to access necessary help.

Some people prefer to meet face to face but do give online a try as it works as effectively it is just different.

For those people living in areas of poor internet connection I can also offer telephone therapy, this is still an effective way to access therapy and can be beneficial for those who struggle with technology and being visible on a camera.

Face to Face

I am now offering face to face sessions from Kenton in NE3, please get in touch for further information.

Tabitha was a very approachable and empathetic therapist, she laid out clear goals for our work together and I felt very supported and heard by her. I would definitely recommend her.

Beach Rocks

HM December 2023

‘When I first met Tabitha she immediately put me at ease and created an inviting and welcoming environment. We continued to work together for nearly 9 months and the experience has been life changing. She enabled me to see things from a different perspective and encouraged me to explore my feelings further. I only wish I’d sought her help sooner and I would highly recommend Tabitha’

Golden Gate Park

LQ February 2021

Tabitha was an incredibly open, relatable and supportive therapist. I feel I have grown so much in myself through working with her and can now reflect on my behaviour and emotional responses with much more clarity. She created a safe space for me to be fully open and confront unhelpful thought patterns, helping me take back control. I feel like a new person and that I have the tools to tackle whatever life might throw at me. It has been a challenging but rewarding journey - thank you so much

Colorful Bubbles

I had EMDR Therapy with Tabitha which I had not heard of before. It has given me back my independence. Tabitha explained everything really well and put me at ease, she was also there for support in between our sessions which I really appreciated. I recommend her as an EMDR Therapist.

Boat on Lake

EH April 2020

"I came to Tabitha having gotten stuck in my grieving process and feeling helpless about how to move forward. After a series of sessions I feel I've moved past some of the issues that were holding be back and have learnt new skills and coping mechanisms to help me with my grief in the future. Tabitha approached our sessions as a collaborative exercise, working with aspects of my personality to help me come to terms with my grief in a way that felt comfortable for me".
