About Me
I am an Integrative Psychotherapist, Couples Counsellor and EMDR Therapist.
I am an Accredited Member of the BACP. and Member of EMDR Association.
Integrative means that I have many different tools at my disposal because I feel that no two people are the same and therefore I can adapt my methods to suit accordingly.
I believe that therapy is relational and therefore it is very important that my clients all feel safe, comfortable and not judged by me. This is why I usually talk to all my clients before booking in the first session to make sure I am able to help and also allow the client to gain a sense of me.
The assessment session is a chance for you to see if we will work well together.
I am now solely working online. Individual sessions are 50 minutes and cost £50, couples and EMDR sessions are 90 minutes and cost £75.
I currently have my private practise which I opened in 2018 and I am also working with the NHS through Xyla Digital Therapies and the charity Lancashire Women as an EMDR Therapist. Previously I worked in the bereavement sector with Cruse Bereavement Lambeth, St. Christopher's Hospice in South London and The Awareness Centre within the NHS.

Services I Offer
I am only working online at the moment via Skype, Zoom, WhatsApp Video and Teams.
Since the Pandemic the online sector has revolutionised counselling enabling people with work commitments, young children or disabilities to be able to access necessary help.
Some people prefer to meet face to face but do give online a try as it works as effectively it is just different.
Phone Therapy
For people who are in areas of poor internet connection or indeed who may not be internet/technology minded I offer telephone Counselling. Again this is very useful for people who cannot easily travel and is still an effective way to access therapy. It can seem strange not to meet a Counsellor in person or see them across a screen but it still provides a safe and supportive space in which to talk.

I had previously had a bad experience with counselling so I was a little apprehensive when we first started but Tabitha instantly put me at ease. Our sessions felt as comfortable as a chat with a friend, but she helped me to recognise patterns of behaviour, and to look at things differently which has helped me hugely. She helped me come to terms with several things and increased my confidence. We had both face to face and Skype sessions, and both worked well. I highly recommend Tabitha as a Counsellor.

HM December 2019
‘When I first met Tabitha she immediately put me at ease and created an inviting and welcoming environment. We continued to work together for nearly 9 months and the experience has been life changing. She enabled me to see things from a different perspective and encouraged me to explore my feelings further. I only wish I’d sought her help sooner and I would highly recommend Tabitha’

Tabitha was an incredibly open, relatable and supportive therapist. I feel I have grown so much in myself through working with her and can now reflect on my behaviour and emotional responses with much more clarity. She created a safe space for me to be fully open and confront unhelpful thought patterns, helping me take back control. I feel like a new person and that I have the tools to tackle whatever life might throw at me. It has been a challenging but rewarding journey - thank you so much

EH April 2019
"I came to Tabitha having gotten stuck in my grieving process and feeling helpless about how to move forward. After a series of sessions I feel I've moved past some of the issues that were holding be back and have learnt new skills and coping mechanisms to help me with my grief in the future. Tabitha approached our sessions as a collaborative exercise, working with aspects of my personality to help me come to terms with my grief in a way that felt comfortable for me".
